An investor in four deep tech unicorns, driving innovation in AI, Digital Economy and Green Tech and served in leadership roles in esteemed organizations like British Telecom, IBM, Sistema Asia Capital and Hewlett-Packard, Edward’s passion lies in navigating the complexities of Asian Technology Markets.

As an Associate Professor (Practice) at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Edward is serving concurrently as the Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Research Lab and the Industry Advisory Council of Centre for Professional & Continuing Education in Nanyang Technological University and Member of Continuing Education Training Coordinating Committee in NUS, bridging the gap between academia and industry.

As an Associate Professor in Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cybersecurity & Digital Assets, Edward leads the Asian Institute of Digital Finance (AIDF) in creation and curation of fintech courses.

Jointly founded by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, National Research Foundation and National University of Singapore, AIDF aspires to be a thought leader, a FinTech knowledge hub and an experimental site for developing digital financial technologies and for nurturing current and future FinTech researchers and practitioners in Asia.

Dedicated to fostering innovation on a global scale, Edward is volunteering as an industry panel member in Enterprise Singapore in Generative AI Enterprise Solutions Sandbox for SMEs and as Ambassador for the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology 2023/24 and Singapore FinTech Festival 2023.

An advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Edward believes in creating workplaces that celebrate differences and drive collective success.
